The Drafting Program prepares students for employment in the architectural, engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries. This program teaches the fundamentals of drafting to obtain an entry-level drafting job.
The program also prepares students for continuing education in architecture, engineering, and design professions. The curriculum meets the needs of beginning students as well as those who have previous drafting experience or education and need to update their drafting skills, especially in computer-aided drafting (CAD). Prospective students who wish to enter the CAD portion of the program must demonstrate drafting proficiency prior to enrollment by presenting a portfolio or by demonstrating their skills.
Students are eligible to join SkillsUSA and acquire an industry certification.
This program is approximately 18 months (1500 hours) in length. Courses are offered both full time and part time. Call for hours of operation.

Obtainment Time Frame: In program
Reading, math, and language competencies are pre-assessed. The required basic skills grade levels are Reading-9, Math-10, and Language-9 and must be met prior to program completion.
