You may be eligible for financial assistance and not realize it!We have many sources of financial aid. Most financial aid is awarded on the basis of financial need. Need is the difference between your cost of education (educational expenses such as tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, etc.) and the amount you and your family contribute toward your education. To find out if you qualify, meet with our Financial Aid Specialists.
Many sources of financial aid go untapped because people feel reluctant to apply or think that they do not qualify.
*It is recommended that you call and make an appointment to ensure availability of a Financial Aid Specialist to discuss your financial aid needs and options. Call (941) 924-1365 x62363.
Suncoast Technical College's Financial Aid office is located on the Suncoast Technical College main campus, Building 2, Student Services entrance.

Federal Pell and Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity (FSEOG) are awards made to students by the federal government for educational purposes. These grants do not have to be paid back after students finish their training program.
CareerSource Suncoast offers financial assistance programs for disadvantaged students. The program will pay for the student's registration; lab fees and books; and, where applicable, other specialized program needs such as uniforms, and State Board examination fees. For additional information students call CareerSource Suncoast at (941) 358-4200.
Many area organizations, businesses, and individuals offer scholarships to students. Some of these groups choose their recipients and have their own application process. Other scholarships are processed by the Suncoast Technical College's Financial Aid office and recipients are selected based on criteria set forth by the donor and/or Suncoast Technical College. Scholarships will help pay for educational expenses and are available to students that may or may not qualify for other forms of financial aid.
